DESCRIPTION; CHARSET=UTF-8 :Travers Smith provides data protection advice to clients in a diverse range of sectors, covering retail, financial services, online start- ups, pension funds and insurance. This regularly involves giving advice in relation to data protection audit and policy work, online privacy policies, data collection and exploitation, information security breaches and international data transfers. Recent work includes advising:

Office in relation to a data security incident;

Shazam on obtaining and using geo-tracking data; and

A number of financial institutions and private equity houses on their international transfers of data.
