DESCRIPTION; CHARSET=UTF-8 :This seminar will explore the influence of Etzioni&#39;s compliance theory (1975) on Professor Pollard&#39;s perspectives, analyses and agency over the past four decades.  Touching on the &#39;Social World&#39; ethnographies, the PACE project, TLRP and the REF, he will argue that Etzioni&#39;s theory can be seen as a tool for enabling creative optimism in a variety of challenging circumstances.
