DESCRIPTION; CHARSET=UTF-8 :Artur Dron’ is a young poet who volunteered to join the 125th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade from Lviv within days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

His We Were Here talks of his own experiences on the front line and of the lives of his fellow soldiers and civilians, sharing their voices and perspectives.

Recently wounded probably from shrapnel from a Russian anti-personnel mine or a drone that killed two of his fellow soldiers, Artur Dron’ has been undergoing multiple operations and a nerve transplant. Following his sixth and final operation, Artur Dron’ will be going on a small book tour in Ukraine in April, concluding with this hybrid event to celebrate the publication of We Were Here in a translation by fellow Ukrainian poet and cultural advocate for Ukraine, Yuliya Musakovska.http://www.exeter.ac.uk/events/details/?event=14895
