DESCRIPTION; CHARSET=UTF-8 :How should we rethink the notions of self and identity considering medicalization and other psychophysical alterations widespread in Western societies? Members of Egenis will reflect on this question, exploring perspectives from the philosophy of science, medical humanities, phenomenology, among others. Following a prompt, presented by the organisers, the reflections begin with 5-minute flash talks by Hannah Farrimond and Joel Krueger. After the presentations, we open the discussion to other members of Egenis and the broader audience. This is a hybrid event celebrating the academic diversity and rich interdisciplinarity at Egenis.http://www.exeter.ac.uk/events/details/?event=14740
