DESCRIPTION; CHARSET=UTF-8 :You are invited to hear about research that has compared how the live performing arts sector in UK, Germany, Canada, USA, France, Italy and Japan was impacted by COVID-19, and the responses of the sector and governments to the crisis.

We will share recommendations for policymakers and the sector based on this research.

We discuss how these recommendations can support a UK performing arts sector that is better prepared to face new pandemics, climate-related disasters, demographic change, economic pressures or the impacts of national and international politics.

Speakers will present comparative examples that support recommendations on the following topics:

- Future crisis planning and response
- Research and data
- Skills gaps
- Digital strategy and access
- Building a case for culture

Join with us, sector representatives, policymakers and researchers for discussion and debate.
