DESCRIPTION; CHARSET=UTF-8 :Past research has repeatedly stated that water issues are part of Social-Ecological Systems (SESs), and that collaborative or participatory approaches are necessary to govern such issues. Yet research on Collaborative Water Governance has been historically extremely focused on studying "social-to-social" phenomena, meaning interactions among social components of SESs. In my research projects, I endeavour to studying "social-to-ecological" (or "ecological-to-social") interactions around these collaborative governance processes, making bridges with natural sciences as I do so. In this seminar, I offer to give an overview of these attempts to build bridges, presenting to two papers (one published, one under development) where I explore the biophysical determinants of actors' behaviour in Collaborative Water Governance.
