DESCRIPTION; CHARSET=UTF-8 :Conservation management and policy decisions aimed at halting biodiversity loss and driving nature renewal should be underpinned by data on the distributions and health of species’ populations and habitats. The absence of these data results in poor decisions and missed opportunities and weakens the effectiveness of legal protections for biodiversity. This talk will highlight the importance and challenges of monitoring biodiversity in a rapidly changing world and argue that we must think more strategically about the biodiversity data being collected to ensure that we confront future biodiversity challenges with the necessary information to make effective decisions.http://www.exeter.ac.uk/events/details/?event=11565
